Jay Wright Cook, Associate

Jay W. Cook primarily handles commercial and residential real estate closings, 1031 real estate exchanges, and real estate litigation. He also works with business clients to set up partnerships and corporations and has successfully tackled civil litigation and criminal defense cases.

The son of managing partner J. Vincent Cook, Jay W. grew up in Athens and earned his bachelor’s degree in speech communications from the University of Georgia, where he was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia and joined the firm in 2006.

He is an affiliate member of the Athens Area Association of Realtors and the Athens Area Homebuilders Association.
